I really don’t understand how a Christian can vote Democrat when the platform of the democrats is so fundamentally opposed to Biblical teaching. And yes, I heard what Andy said about being biblical, and I disagree with it. I’m still disturbed by how he is essentially preaching against parts of the bible, the Old Testament in particular.

😮 A controversial sermon. Nothing I have not heard from him but he really puts it out there! This one will not be popular with many but definitely food for thought. My synopsis - also on my shared FB post. 1. Major message is that Jesus has all authority, as he said. Even over Old Testament teachings… The church should be about following Jesus. 2. He discusses hip churches that followed their model but are not based on Jesus. He discusses church that divide their services into traditional and contemporary in order to”reach more people”. Of course, he points to the inward focus of many churches. As has been his message, he includes the inclusivity and diversity, a key part of what Jesus taught, and needs to be readily visible in what the church does. 3. Next: one extremely bold and blunt point was about any church aligning with any political party. The gospel of love extends to those of both parties. The word “hate “ becomes part of churches involved with the far right. Stanley, however, criticized church members of both parties that choose party over being a follower of Jesus. Just begin it and see what you think. I agree 👏🏻

Except voting for the party that promotes infanticide and the genital mutilation of minors is in fact evil and not remotely compatible with biblical values or teachings. And this is not up for debate. You can love your political opponents and still call out their evil ways and need for repentance. This is not rocket science. Isaiah 5:20

All teachings of Jesus? That is the point of the whole message. So it is New Testament, but a teaching of Jesus? You may not agree with Jesus being the final authority but this is his stance. Not sure your point with the last two scriptures.

Thank you. To be cautious about leaders who need an enemy to further their agenda. Teaching over media to hate and write off those who are hurting and need our support. Then to try to share that I need to FEAR my country and demonize others. Thank you for reminding me to love unconditionally.

It is very easy to misquote Andy if you don’t know his manner of preaching: contextual preaching. You have to follow through the entire message and not a part of it to appreciate the full message. He preaches within context and I consider him one of the most gifted preachers of our time. May the LORD continue to bless him!

The only way Christians should be supporting this man is through prayer! On behalf of his father, Charles Stanley, we should pray for Andy’s repentance unto salvation! He does not belong in the position of a Pastor and that congregation is not helping him by continuing to attend and continuing to financially support him! You all are doing him a disservice! He has to repent! What is wrong with you people that you think he’s alright? You’re not helping him!

Then vs Now! Amen! Preachers and some men in leadership of churches sometimes use THEN Bible verses to ease their fear toward congregation to control. Pastor Stanley THANK YOU SO MUCH for speaking the truth with courage and boldness! We won't share everything we think but with grace, love and patience...no matter what, we are pressing on to be Christlike each day, abiding in HIM! #Christlike #Jesusisauthority. Heavenly Father, please help us to realize to see who we really serve! Let us NOT serve ourselves (our will, our ideology and our belief) out of fear, in the name of Jesus, but help us to be brave to serve your will not ours. Amen!

Messed up 50 yrs ago. I had alot of issues as a child. Hated myself so much. Thought I was stupid. I loved Jesus so much, and asked him in my heart at 8 and was baptized in the creek and joined church. I tried so hard to be what God wanted me to be according to what others said i was to do..no one ever teaching how to live everyday life. So at 16 had my first beer. Loved it. Loved the neat people that weren't church critical people. But expected of woman back then was to get married and have kids. I didn't want that but at 19 I married. Then away from my messed up home life I partied. Cheated on my man. In 1975 got pregnant left him for another whos child I thought I was having. In 1976. Had my beautiful child. But I did not know how to be a mom. I went back to church, but the hated of self was in me. I messed up that marriage. Drug my child along with my instability. Met another married had a child. Went to church but still running inside me. Lead others to Jesus. Taught bible study but knew inside Jesus does not love bad little girls. Thought I was on my way to hell. Even though I was born again. Messed up that marriage. My poor kids. I loved them and spoiled them, but I was a messed up mom. At age 60 I started to let it sink in me my past is forgive. Jesus loves me. Me. Now going into my 70th yr I am better. Past hurts I have asked others for forgiveness over and over and over. But my children hate me. I pray for them. I love them and will never stop. One is an alcoholic and that grieves me. My precious children. So never ever step into doing wrong. If you do ask forgiveness immediately and beleive God forgives. I didn't and tried to be perfect. Maybe the remaining yrs here on earth I can fully trust that God loves me
